How Pest Arresters was born.

Sam Smith - Founder/Operator

Samuel (Sam) Clyde Smith is a 3rd generation pest control professional.
At age 17 he started work in the family business as a Termite Technician and later was given the opportunity to run his own pest control route. Working on and off for his family as well as other pest control firms throughout Eastern North Carolina Sam gained a firm knowledge of termite and pest control and the value of quality work. After several years of working for other pest control firms and a few years as a full time Police Officer Sam decided he wanting to own his own Pest Control Company. Spending many nights on patrol thinking about this he decided he would like to go with a name that combined his two work loves. Law Enforcement and Pest Control From these ideas and with some help from some friends Pest Arresters was born . 
Originally named Arrest A Pest, the company changed its name to Pest Arresters in June 2004. Sam is still a Police Officer with the Morehead City Police Department. You will most often see him in this capacity at the North Carolina Seafood Festival held in October of each year.

Sam is married to Beth (Bair) Smith
she grew up in Newport NC. He met her at church in  Morehead City when he was 14. However they did not date and subsequently marry until several years later. Together they have 2 daughters, Taylor born in 1996 and Alexandra (Ali) born in 2004 and a son, Keller born in 2000. Visit their family website by clicking this link www.samsmithfamily.com
