Crawl Space De-Humidification

Pest Arresters has pioneered the process in our area of installing de-humidifiers in crawl spaces to extract problem moisture from these areas.

Excessive moisture in your crawl space can lead to rot, mold, fungus, and can invite insects such as termites and carpenter ants to the wood under your home.

Excessive moisture in a crawl spaceIn most cases, a properly installed vapor barrier and proper ventilation is sufficient to keep your crawl space dry, but sometimes this just does not do the job.

De-humidifier installation employs the opposite techniques of ventilation. We actually close off your crawl space by covering your crawl space vents with a foam insulation, caulk around crawl space doors... we seal off the area completely. A plastic vapor barrier is installed and the de-humidifier is put into place, complete with a drain line leading to the outside.
